Box office queen Sammi Cheng visits the sunny beaches of Malaysia in Summer Holiday, a picturesque romantic comedy co-starring Taiwan singer-actor Richie Jen! Summer (Sammi Cheng) is a driven Hong Kong career woman whose take-no-prisoners attitude gets her fired. Luckily, she co-owns a beach in Malaysia that's being sought after for upwards of four million US dollars! The problem: her previous partner sold his share to a happy-go-lucky beach bum named Mor Mor Cha (Richie Jen), who would rather run a small inn on the beach than sell out to some big money corporation. But Summer's girlish charm makes a fine first impression on Mor Mor Cha. Will it be enough to get him to part with his share of the $4 million payday?

Minute changes have taken place in their relationship without even noticing it. Can two people from two different worlds finally break the barricade around their hearts and be together?
Cute movie Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10 Summer shows a tough and ambitious personality at the office, but this gets her into trouble. Plus to add to her already frustrations, her boyfriend breaks up with her. She decides to go to Malaysia where her cousin owns a hotel by the beach. When she arrives, she discovers that her cousin gave half of the hotel to pay off a gambling debt. The half of the hotel belongs to a guy named Momocha. Summer thinks Momocha is a country hick with no education who only cares about swimming in the ocean and spending all day lazing around on the beach.
Momocha is actually a well-known architect who lives in New York. Summer wants to sell the hotel, but Momocha does not. Summer later finds out that her best friend and her ex-boyfriend were lovers for 2 years. This hurt her deeply to know that her best friend and ex-boyfriend cheated her for so long. Then later when she discovers that Momocha didn't tell her about his true identity, she got hurt again. But Momocha never lied about his feelings for her. Summer leaves Malaysia and got a good job in Tokyo, Japan.
Momocha keeps chasing after her by numerous emails. Then one email, he says he agrees to sell the hotel. This is his only hope to see her again. I love this movie, it is very cute and romantic.
Richie Ren is so cute in this movie. I think Sammi and Richie have better chemistry in this movie than in 'Marry a Rich Person'. 'Summer Holiday' is cuter and the story is more solid.
